Our mission is to welcome and connect our community while spotlighting the ventriloquists, figure makers, and influential voices who have shaped the art, past and present. We’re building a place where ventriloquists and enthusiasts can find support, education, and inspiration. Where researchers can explore the history of the art and its people. And where your story can become part of the record.

We’re still building. We’re aiming to publish our first full wave of spotlights and open the archive in early 2027. You can help shape it by sharing your story today.

Your story belongs here.

Maybe you’ve spent decades onstage. Maybe you perform at schools, churches, libraries, or the occasional family gathering. Maybe you’re just getting started.

Wherever you live, however you practice the art, we’d like to hear from you.

How did you get started? Who helped you along the way? Who are your figures? What have you learned, and what would you want another ventriloquist to know?

Your answers will help us create your spotlight on Ventriloquism.org and give your experience a place in the story and history of our art.

Help us keep the details from disappearing.

A photograph in a drawer. An old show program. A story told backstage that nobody thought to write down.

Those things help tell the history of ventriloquism. So do the people performing, building figures, and finding their voices today.

We’re bringing those pieces together so the next person can discover who came before them, learn from their work, and carry the art forward.

No single person has the whole history. But together, we have stories, photographs, programs, and personal experiences that help fill the gaps. We’re crowdsourcing the history of ventriloquism, putting the pieces together as a community to build a fuller, more accurate record.

Every story adds something. Yours does, too.

What We’re Building

Help us get your story right.

Share your experiences through our submission form and upload photos, especially of you with your figure.

We’ll use what you send to help write your spotlight. As your story grows, you can submit updates, corrections, and additional photos.

With your help, the record will keep growing more complete and more accurate.

Be part of what comes next.

Someone or something sparked your interest in ventriloquism. Your story, or a piece of history you’ve saved, could do the same for someone else.
